April showers, May flowers!

Yes, indeed, it's time to smell all the flowers we have earned through our hard work during rainy days. The month of May will bring colorful opportunities, great ideas, and tangible results. Pluto is the only planet changing directions this month, going retrograde on May 6. He will remain retrograde until October 16. He will be stationed at the same degree for almost half of the month, making his influences stronger during that period. Pluto retrogrades are always good for interlizing our sense of empowerment. With a conversation to Uranus in Gemini, we might be welcoming all the new revelations in our psyche.

On May 1, the Full Moon at 11°20' Scorpio creates a Yod "The Finger of God" formation with Venus in Gemini and Saturn in Aries. Ruler of the lunation is Mars in Aries, square Jupiter in Cancer. The Moon as the apex planet of the Yod can cause emotional tension, feelings of pressure, and a sense of urgency. With Mars as ruler in a hard aspect to Jupiter, we might feel overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted. Release things, people, and situations in your life that cost you more than you can gain. This lunation is part of the lunar gestation family, which began on the New Moon on November 1, 2024. The events of that new Moon might come up on this lunation. The most affected will be all fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and all of you with natal placements between 8°-14° of those signs.

On May 16, the New Moon at 25°57' Taurus is closely conjunct Mercury on one side and Ceres on the other. The ruler of this lunation is Venus in Gemini in a sextile to Mars, in conjunction with Chiron in Aries. The New Moon is also in sextile to Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter's touch will bring many new opportunities for stable and long-term growth and manifestation. Friends will be your allies. Mars Chiron conjunction might bring some discomfort, but it's a potent New Moon. The most affected will be all fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and all of you with natal placements between 23°-29° of those signs.

On May 31, the Full Moon at 9°55' Sagittarius trines Saturn and Pallas Athena. It's also loosely opposite Uranus. The ruler, Jupiter, is not aspecting anything, suggesting a lot of freedom for expansion and no external restrictions. The trine to Saturn is about inner authority and making your own boundaries. Living your truth is impeccable at this point. This lunation is part of the lunar gestation family, which began on the New Moon on December 1, 2024. The events of that new Moon might come up on this lunation. The most affected will be all mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, and all of you with natal placements between 7°-13° of those signs.

1. Pluto this month can mess with our minds as it squares Mercury in Taurus on May 5. Use this energy for deep psychological expression or research. The lovely trine between Pluto and  Mercury, now in Gemini on May 19, will change our perspective and transform our thinking. The end of the month brings different vibes, with Pluto Mars fixed square on May 26, followed by the Sun-Pluto trine on the same day. Overconfidence in our own power can backfire, leading to volatility and destructive behavior.
2. Neptune is fairly quiet this month, with a sextile to Mercury in Gemini on May 19, a cardinal square to Venus in Cancer on May 22, and a sextile to the Sun in Gemini on May 24. We will have more clarity, and our imagination can provide some benefits. Challenges might occur within our idealistic expectations in our relationships. Don't expect others to read your mind. If you need something, say it.  
3. Uranus will bring awakening and eureka moments in May. Now being in Gemini, he is here to open up our minds, get us a fresh perspective, and bring us the ability to think outside of the box. Watch out for new, ingenious moments on May 17 when he conjuncts Mercury. A strong urge for freedom and being who we truly are will be at its peak on May 22 when Uranus joins the Sun.
4. Saturn, like Neptune, will be quieter this month. He will start the month with a sextile to Venus in Gemini on May 1 and end it with a square to Venus in Cancer on May 28. With a sextile, our capacity to handle financial matters will be stronger and more solid. With a cardinal square at the end of the month, we might feel undervalued and not loved enough. Lovely sextile with Mercury on May 22 can help us structure our thoughts and ideas that Uranus in Gemini will open up.  
5. Jupiter is only active in the first half of the month with a square to Mars on May 4, a sextile to the Sun on May 10, and a sextile to Mercury on May 13. With Mars Jupiter cardinal square, our actions can speak louder than words. Watch out for biting more than you can chew. Both sextiles mid-month bring fortunate opportunities for growth and learning. We will feel more hopeful.
6. On May 13, Vesta, Goddess of home and hearth, enters Aries. She is bringing more courage and passion to follow our hearts' desires and to fight for the people and causes we are devoted to.
7. Mars and Venus are changing signs on the same day, May 18. Mars goes to Taurus and Venus to Cancer. They will form a sextile the next day, another good omen for long-lasting, productive results. Venus will be out of bounds from May 5 until June 7 - she might behave more wildly and unexpectedly in relating to others and money.
8. Mercury will fly through Taurus from May 2 until May 17, when it moves to Gemini. He is very active this month, reshaping our view of the world, our perceptions, and our viewpoints. Mercury will be out of bounds from May 23 until June 13 - expect overstimulation, and too much buzz might cause us more problems than solutions.
9. Gemini season officially starts on May 20 with the Sun's ingress into Gemini. With Uranus joining the Sun shortly after ingress, this season promises a brand new start, but also a lot of questions. Gemini's favorite word is Why? and Sun-Uranus in Gemini brings different answers to the same questions.
10. On May 28, Ceres, the Goddess of Nurturing, enters Gemini. There may be a tendency to nurture through exchanging ideas, talking, and gathering information.

May is full of possibilities and can materialize ideas and drive growth. There is a pragmatic side to the month during Taurus season and a more solution-oriented approach during Gemini season. Open your mind and allow change to bring prosperity and growth. Take care of mental overload and your nervous system. That's the key! Find like-minded people you can bounce ideas off and communicate your thoughts to.
