October is a highly emotional month with a dash of beauty. On the surface, the month appears serene and harmonious, but underneath, the waters are in motion, stirring the pot. Pallas Athena is stationing to go direct on Oct 4th, bringing revised strategies we can use for the future. Pluto will follow on Oct 13th, revealing his true colors. What will he bring to the surface? This month, Mercury enters its pre-retrograde shadow on Oct 21st. He will go retrograde from Nov 9th to Nov 29th, an excellent time for self-reflection, but also for unresolved psychological issues.

The Full Moon at 14°08' Aries on Oct 6th might bring impatience and thoughtless actions. The major event of the day will be Mercury in Scorpio square Pluto in Aquarius. Scorpio's tail will be revealed in the form of harsh words; hidden truths might be exposed. Our emotional state will be led by Mars in Scorpio, which will add more oil to the fire. Venus in Virgo, joined with the South Node, will ask us to release obsessive controls within our relationships. This lunation is part of the lunar gestation family, which began on the new moon Solar Eclipse on April 8th, 2024. The events of that new moon might come up on this lunation. Cardinal signs are affected the most: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and all of you with natal placements between 11°- 17° of those signs.
On Oct 21st, the New Moon at 28°22' Libra opposes Chiron in Aries and squares Jupiter and Pluto. The leader of this lunation is Venus in Libra, inviting us to embrace and incorporate the beauty in our lives. Find a place for fashion, art, and even flirt! Plant a new seed of love, harmony, charm, fairness, equality, and diplomacy. The most affected will be all cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and all of you with natal placements between 25°-29° of those signs. The first few degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) may also feel the effects, or if you have any natal placements at those degrees.
- Mercury starts the month with hard aspects to Jupiter and Pluto. Big news, big secrets, a lot of discussions with high intensity when Mercury enters Scorpio on Oct 6th. Keep the dialogue going! The sense of relief in our communications will occur with Mercury in Sagittarius on Oct 29th. But don't get your hopes up, as he goes retrograde just 10 days after.
- Unlike September, Venus is very active this month. She will make favorable aspects to Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto, and hard ones with Saturn and Neptune. The lovely grand air trine she makes with Uranus and Pluto will bring new connections, adventures, and friendships. Oppositions with Saturn and Neptune may bring some confusion and low self-worth for a few days. Keep it real, as fantasy and reality may intertwine. When she enters Libra on Oct 13th, she will be at home having a major role during the New Moon on Oct 21st, bringing opportunity for love and peace.
- Juno enters Sagittarius on Oct 1st, and foreign relations will be highlighted. Forming committed partnerships with like-minded people is favorable at this time. The question is, are your relationships aligned with your beliefs and philosophies?
- On Oct 22nd, the Sun enters Scorpio as Neptune retrogrades back to Pisces on the same day. Most planets are now in water signs, forming a grand water trine. Mars/Mercury in Scorpio on one side, Jupiter in Cancer on the other side, and Neptune/Saturn in Pisces at the third corner. It's important that we deal with our feelings as they come, even if we feel overwhelmed. If we don't set boundaries, emotional overflow will be too much to handle. Unless you equip yourself for a water ride, it's better to stay dry on the ground.
