January Stations

Welcome to 2026!

January will be a hectic month with many new chapters starting. It starts with the Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars out of bounds - an extreme and uncontrollable action-oriented start of the year. Mars and Venus will remain out of bounds until January 4th, while Mercury stays out of bounds until January 15th. Chiron is stationary direct on January 2nd, and he will not go retrograde until he moves into Taurus on June 19th. Only Jupiter and Uranus remain retrograde throughout the month. We have only one square in January between Meructy and Neptune on January 1st. We may experience confusion and misunderstandings in communication, but it's great for creative writing and imaginative pursuits. Postpone any decision-making for another time.

January Lunations
January Lunations

On January 3rd, the Full Moon at 13°01' Cancer, loosely conjunct Jupiter and opposite Capricorn placements: the Sun, Venus, and Mars joined with Juno, Mercury, and Vesta. The Moon itself, along with Mercury, Venus, and Mars, is out of bounds. An out‑of‑bounds planet is one whose declination goes beyond the Sun's maximum declination (about 23°27′ north or south of the celestial equator). Out-of-bounds energy can manifest as uncontrollable, wild, extreme, and eccentric behaviours. Our emotions and ambitions, driven by them, can go out of proportion. This lunation is part of the lunar gestation family, which began on the new Moon on July 5th, 2024. The events of that new Moon might come up on this lunation. The most affected will be all cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, and all of you with natal placements between 10°-16° of those signs.

Please tune in for more details on the Full Moon on my YouTube channel.

On January 18th, the New Moon at 28°43' Capricorn, joined by Mercury and Mars, is in a sextile to Saturn and Neptune, and trines Uranus—an excellent opportunity to start long-term projects, implementing new ideas with known processes. With no challenging aspects, this lunation can bring stability, productivity, and long-term success that we are all looking for. The most affected will be all cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, and all of you with natal placements between 26°-29° of those signs. The first few degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) may also feel the effects, or if you have any natal placements at those degrees.

January Ingresses
January Ingresses
  1. The start of the month is marked with Mercury entering Capricorn on January 1st, bringing structure and focus into our communication. Mercury will stay in Capricorn until January 20th, when it enters Aquarius and joins the Sun on January 21st and Pluto on January 22nd. Our innovative and futuristic approach can set a new path. The Venus Mercury conjunction in Aquarius on January 29th will bring fresh ideas and talk about the future into our relationships.
  2. Vesta, the asteroid of home, heart, and our devotion, will enter Aquarius on January 11th. We are starting to turn towards communities and groups for support.
  3. Venus starts a new cycle in Capricorn with the Sun on January 6th, and with Mars on January 7th. It's a great time to set a realistic budget for the year ahead and make long-term plans and commitments within our relationships. January is an active month with many opportunities in all aspects of our lives, prompting us to act now. Before Venus moves to Aquarius on January 17th and conjuncts Pluto on January 19th, she will oppose Jupiter along with the Sun, Mercury, and Mars between January 9th and 14th. Things might feel too promising; we can strive for more than we can chew. Keep it real to make it happen.
  4. Noticable shift occurs on January 19th when the Sun enters Aquarius, followed by Mars' ingress to Aquarius on January 23rd. Both of them will meet Pluto on January 23rd and January 27th. These events bring new, innovative energy and plans for the future into focus. Watch out for power struggles and unnecessary battles; instead, focus on making new, prosperous actions with your friends, groups, and alliances.
  5. On January 24th, Pallas Athena enters Pisces, softening her strategic abilities and considering the collective when making decisions.
  6. The most significant event in 2026 is Neptune leaving Pisces and entering Aries for the final time in our lifetimes on January 26th. He will stay in Aries until 2038, shifting our dreams into real-life events and inspiring us to find the hero within.

January is full of activities, new starts, and many prosperous opportunities. Use it to plan and structure your life and the year ahead. Build solid foundations for the future with the help of your partners, friends, and groups. The time to act is now, reach out and grab that pot of gold waiting for you at the end of the rainbow. None of this will come without a good strategic plan, hard work, focus, and discipline, but this month we have energies on our side. Who dares, wins!

Best period of the month: Jan 15th - 20th, Jan 29th-31st

Challenging period of the month: Jan 1st -5th, Jan 22nd - 27th

Wishing you all the best in the New Year 2026!
