August 2025 at a glance

Welcome to August - opportunities on the horizon!

With Mercury going direct on Aug 11th and Venus-Jupiter conjunction just a day later, the middle of August is full of opportunities and happy times. Mercury will clear its retrograde shadow by Aug 25th, and we can move forward with more clarity and straightforwardness. Ceres, the asteroid of nurture and care, will go retrograde on Aug 11th. This will prompt us to take more care about our body and well-being with her being in Aries.

The Full Moon at 17°00' Aquarius on Aug 9th is occurring during rare planetary constellations in the sky. A mystic rectangle involves a Saturn/Neptune conjunction, Pluto, Mars, and Mercury retrograde, with a Mercury-Pluto opposition and a Full Moon in the middle. A Grand Air Trine between Pluto, Mars, and Uranus will be a part of two different kite formations: one with Saturn/Neptune on the apex and the other with Mercury. They will all form an envelope. This may bring numerous opportunities that will require resolution and hard work to make them happen.  It's also a part of the lunar gestation family that started on the new moon on Feb 9th, 2024. The events of that new moon might come up on this lunation. Fixed signs are affected the most: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, and all of you with natal placements between 14°- 20° of those signs.

On Aug 23rd, the New Moon at 0°23' Virgo squares Uranus and is inconjunct Saturn. Emphasis will be on our health, especially mental health. We might feel overstimulated, nervous, and restless. Keep grounded and implement calming techniques during this lunation.  The most affected will be all mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, and all of you with natal placements between 0°-3° of those signs. The last few degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) may also feel the effects, or if you have any natal placements at those degrees.

1. The month starts with Venus, the goddess of beauty and love, making a hard aspect to Saturn and Neptune on Aug 1st. This will bring a harsh reality regarding money and relationships, but we still won't let go of the romantic side of life.
2. Mars, the god of war, enters peaceful Libra on Aug 6th, bringing negotiations and diplomacy as his secret weapon. His role will be crucial during the Full Moon on Aug 9th. Making a grand air trine with Uranus and Pluto will initiate transformative and innovative actions in our society and in our personal lives.
3. The best day of the year is Aug 12th, when Venus and Jupiter meet in Cancer, the sign they are both exalted in. The first two weeks of August are excellent for taking on chances and making things happen, especially during the Pisces moon on Aug 10th. The projects you start now can bring you happiness, love, and emotional strength.
4. The Sun enters Virgo on Aug 22nd, followed by the New Moon on Aug 23rd. With the square to Uranus, on Aug 24th, the need to break free and change the status quo will be strong.
5. Things will drastically change when Venus moves into Leo on Aug 25th. Her new demeanour in Leo will be loud and theatrical, making trine with Saturn and Neptune, sextile with Uranus, and opposition to Pluto, all in the next couple of days. Creativity, passion, and drama will be the highlights of these events.

August will bring many opportunities to grow, especially within our relationships and finances, but on the other hand, it will remind us that without resolute action, things will not happen. With both Venus and Mars changing signs and having lots of dynamics with the outer planets,  we can expect a lot of action in our personal lives that will have a long-lasting impact.
